We had a lot of fun decorating this year, with a yard full of tombstones, a coffin on the porch, spiders, webs, and ravens. Lots of fun. We set up the coffee and fog machine on Halloween. It was a good night. Little guy only made it to 6 houses before he got so tired that I had to carry his shield, and sword, and crown. He tried to talk me into holding his candy, but I told him that’s where I draw the line. The neighbors were wonderful. Another lovely Halloween in Alamitos Beach.

The Butterflies and Flowers:
“Easter bunny and flowers and Easter bunny (and eggs) and eggs (butterflies) and butterflies and flowers (and kitty cats) and butterflies (and kitty cats zoom) zoom… Oh, there’s a doggy!”
It’s a cat!:
“(Is it a kit–is it a doggie?) Um, it’s a cat. (So it’s not a doggie…?) It’s a cat! It’s a cat right there. Woa. (Uh-oh) Uh-oh. Uh-oh. (Quiet. Bye bye). Bye bye. I wanna go pet…”
I want to go pet her:
“Kitty right there. See. Oh. See, sister, kitty right there. I want to go pet her. I want to go pet her. I want to go pet her…”
Bye-bye, kitty cat:
“I want to say goodbye kitty cat, already did! Bye-bye, kitty cat…”
There was a birthday party. It was lots of fun. A couple of cherubs were missing, but we tried to have fun for them, too. The BBQ was great, and nobody cried. Well, almost. Wandering did, but only when his head wandered into the sidewalk. Grand fun was had by all, and I found me a new “honey.”
