Tombstone

Tombstone

We had a lot of fun decorating this year, with a yard full of tombstones, a coffin on the porch, spiders, webs, and ravens. Lots of fun. We set up the coffee and fog machine on Halloween. It was a good night. Little guy only made it to 6 houses before he got so tired that I had to carry his shield, and sword, and crown. He tried to talk me into holding his candy, but I told him that’s where I draw the line. The neighbors were wonderful. Another lovely Halloween in Alamitos Beach.

Bigger Than You

Looking Out the Boat

She: I’m bigger than you.

He: We’re not going to talk about that.

She: I’m still bigger than you.

He: So why is that?

I think he held his own pretty well. She’s 11; he’s 4…

Learning about Sandwiches

Sounds from the Woods:

Little Guy: Dad, I need you.

Big Guy: What do you need?

Little Guy: Will you feel my sandwich?

Big Guy: What does it feel like?

Little Guy: It feels wet.

Big Guy: Why does it feel wet?

Little Guy: I just washed the dirt off.

Big Guy: Son, when a sandwich feels like that, it’s time for a new sandwich.

Where Have All the Nurdles Gone?

Great day at Long Beach Green Port Fest…
Green Port Fest Flags

She followed up last year’s science project with one focusing on Nurdles (pre-production plastic pellets). She went to the District Science Fair and from there was selected to go on to the Green Port Fest.

We had a BLAST! Rode our bikes to downtown, and then met with a group and took the new bike path together to the Fest. It’s fun when the person taking pictures at a community event says hello to you by name (sailing instructor…).

Hanging Over the Edge

Cracked me up, the feet and tail hanging over the edge together. Boy went to bed first, and then cat joined.

The pets get along, the siblings get along, and the pets and siblings get along…

And that’s nice.

When we arrived at the reunion, we had to place our head on one of the bodies here. Throughout the reunion, some of the heads had mysteriously moved. There was plenty of rearranging! Notice my father-in-law in the green dress in the upper left. Lots of FUN!!!

Always on my Mind

Even when I must focus on other things, they are always on my mind.
